The Infrastructure Project Database, a unique data repository
November 2025
The Project Database of the South American Infrastructure Observatory, which originates from and is based on the Infrastructure Network of the Brasília Consensus, is a platform that brings together a set of high-impact works for regional socio-economic development.
This first version, launched at the end of 2025, includes around 40 transportation and logistics projects that promote physical connectivity and foster sustainable economic and social development across South America.
By definition, the Project Database is evolutionary. The initial projects featured on the platform were collaboratively preselected by the 12 countries that make up the Observatory.
Among its most relevant technical features are:
- A user-friendly design and structure for easy search and management
- A standardized project profile, with 45 defined data fields
- The use of filters to streamline searches for specific projects
- The ability to georeference each project
Additionally, and with the goal of building the broadest possible project portfolio for the Observatory, the database will be updated regularly as new qualifying projects are added.
